Shaping the Course of Mighty Rivers
Family Game #1
In a land being explored by frontiersmen and soon to be settled by pioneers, as valuable a resource as nature ever provided man is a steady stream of fresh water from the flow of mighty rivers and their vast tributaries; in The Great Divide, it is up to players to see that nature favors their side in the flow of that water to the oceans.
Representing the American West and the Pacific Ocean or the vast plains of the Midwest and the Gulf of Mexico, players must shape the directions of these winding Rocky Mountain Rivers as they flow on their ocean-bound course to their destiny in forging a great nation.
In this classic ‘Euro-style’ tile selection and placement game, the challenge of tile selection and placement presents the players with enjoyable puzzles on a truly grand scale and, while subtle to master, The Great Divide can be learned and enjoyed by players of all ages and skill levels.
