Conquest of the Fallen Lands includes two different rule sets: Normal and Advanced. The Normal rules can be learned in 10 minutes and provide for a very rich and fun game.
If you are after a more complex game, you can move on to Advanced rules, which provide for even richer strategic options and deeper gameplay.
You will find the complete rule set for Normal play below. First, here are some snippets from our reviewers with their thoughts on the gameplay:
“Most games of conquest inevitably involve attacking one’s opponents. After all neutral territory is gobbled, bloody wars against opposing forces is the only way to gain additional territory, which often translates into victory points. Conquest games, by their nature, generally aren’t very peaceful.
Conquest of the Fallen Lands by Andrei Burago is a bit different. Oh, conquering territory is still of vital importance, but here all territory conquered is neutral, held by “vile hordes of monsters” that have overrun the kingdom. Players have been assembled by the king with the purpose of ridding the realm of these nasty beasts. There is no direct conflict between players.” |
